The goal of the project DONAUHANSE is to establish a network of cities, which provides sound solutions to similar problems with the greatest possible benefit for all participating cities and regions along the Danube.

Projects and Activities in DonauHanse

The main tasks of DonauHanse, defined in the DonauHanse resolution are:

  • Intensification and extension of the co-operation between the Danube cities and their surrounding regions under DonauHanse and by the means of other joint projects
  • Promotion of further project ideas to sustainably increase freight volumes on the Danube
  • Develop and realise project ideas created by the members of DonauHanse
  • Intensification of knowledge exchange between the member cities of DonauHanse

Due to this DonauHanse offers the possibility to develop projects for all members or host other activities like know-how transfer workshops, to develop solutions for similar problems together.

An in the framework of DonauHanse currently ongoing project is CUPA.
